“Be yourself!  People don’t have to like you, and you don’t have to care.”

When I get lucky with clients who choose me, for me (and not just because I’m local or someone they could afford) it makes me feel all gushy inside.

I remember planning this engagement session for her.  It was just a few weeks before her wedding day and she finally decided to do one but needed some help.  She was so nervous!  This would be their very first time ever to have photos together (besides selfies) and she confessed that they would probably be awkward and camera shy.  After I really listened to her, I came up with this idea for us to shoot out at the waterfall and planned their wardrobe styling and everything.  Her nervousness immediately turned into excitement.  She loved my vision and what I had planned for her at such last minute and was willing to brave the cold for the beauty of the shoot.  And they both did amazingly well!  She was happy for deciding to do an engagement shoot after all, and I was excited to have the chance to settle their nerves before the wedding day.
